(Classical) Rare Books at Blackwell

Any of you who have visited us at 50 Broad Street will be aware that, in addition to being a leading stockist of new academic titles, we also have a formidable range of antiquarian and rare books, including many that may be of interest to classicists. Their current Greek & Latin Classics catalogue can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the image below:

Some particular highlights of the current stock include the first Alsine edition of Caesar from 1513, a 1744 edition of Sallust that was one of the first books printed by stereotype in Britain and a miniature edition of Pindar dating from the 1750s. Blackwell Rare Books aims to cater for collectors of any interest or budget so do come in for a visit if you’re in the area. Alternatively, you can join the mailing list by emailing rarebooks@blackwell.co.uk
