Learn Greek in South Park

If you’re in Oxford over the summer and are interested in learning some Ancient Greek, now is the ideal opportunity. Educational charity the Iris Project are holding free Greek lessons in South Park over the summer which began on June 12th, aimed both at adults and families with small children. This is following on from the highly successful “Latin In the Park” scheme which first ran in 2008 and aimed to introduce Latin language and literature to those who might not otherwise have had the chance to find out about them. The lessons will be led by Lorna Robinson who is an experienced tutor and linguist. While we can’t guarantee Kenny and Cartman will be present, this seems like a great way to make new friends and explore our classical heritage at the same time.
