“The Birth of Classical Europe”

The highly anticipated new volume in the Penguin History of Europe, “The Birth of Classical Europe” is a exciting collaboration between two authors with Oxford connections. Simon Price taught Ancient History at St Hugh’s and Lady Margaret Hall where he edited a number of books on Greek and Roman religion. Peter Thonemann is currently teaching at Wadham College and contributed to Duckworth’s recent Blackwell bestseller “Interpreting The Athenian Empire“. We have high hopes this will prove to be just as popular with both classicists and historians. And, for a limited time only, Blackwell is selling the book for only £25.00, a saving of £5.00 on the list price.
